Grid Computing for Digital Mammography

چکیده
A United Kingdom digital mammography national database would have major benefits for the United Kingdom. For example, such an archive could: provide a huge teaching and training resource; be able to aid in the evaluation of innovative software to compute the quality of each mammogram as it is sent to the archive; act as a significant resource for epidemiological studies; and be a tremendous step towards the support of centralised, automated computer-aided detection. This paper provides an overview of the eDiaMoND project, the principal aim of which is to develop a pilot system for such an archive.
